| Contract Period | Initially for 6 months, extendable at the discretion of the Competent Authority depending on requirement and performance. |
| Eligibility – Option 1 | Retired Library Assistant at Pay Level 04 to 06 from Government of India / State Government / Attached & Subordinate Offices / Autonomous Bodies. |
| Age – Retired Candidate | Not exceeding 63 years on the date of Walk-in Interview. |
| Eligibility – Option 2 | 10+2 in Science subjects with Certificate in Library Science from a recognised Institute. |
| Experience | 1–3 years work experience in a recognised institution. |
| Age – Other Candidates | Not more than 27 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government rules. |
| Monthly Remuneration | For retired employees, remuneration will be paid as per applicable Government of India / Ministry of Finance orders. For other candidates, remuneration will be paid as per applicable Ministry of Labour & Employment / Chief Labour Commissioner norms. |
