    Essential Qualifications
    • Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade (6.5 in 10-point scale).
    • Consistently good academic record with superior knowledge of computerized library service.
    • Qualifying in the national level test such as NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC or equivalent.
    Desirable
    • PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or equivalent.
    • Ph.D. or higher degree in relevant discipline preferred.

    Scheme of Examination & Selection Process
    Assistant Librarian Stage I: CBT (100 MCQs from domain knowledge) – 100 marks, 120 minutes
    Stage II: Interview (1:10 ratio based on Stage I performance)
    Final Merit: 70% from Stage I + 30% from Interview
    Library & Information Assistant Stage I: CBT – 100 MCQs, 120 minutes
    • Part A (50 marks): General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics, English/Hindi, Computer Awareness (10 marks each)
    • Part B (50 marks): Specialization in relevant discipline
    Stage II: Trade Test (Qualifying in nature; 1:10 ratio)
    Final Merit: Based on Stage I marks (from those qualified in Stage II)
