| Eligibility Conditions |
Essential:
- Officers under the Central/State/U.T. Governments/Universities/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations.
- Holding analogous post on regular basis, Or
- With at least 5 years of regular service in the grade pay of Rs. 7600 (Pay level 12 as per 7th CPC), Or
- With at least 5 years of regular service in the grade pay of Rs. 6600 (Pay level 11 as per 7th CPC).
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Science (Preferably Biological Science) of a recognized University or equivalent.
- Degree or equivalent Diploma in Library Science of a recognized Institution or University.
Desirable:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science
- Training in Medical Librarianship

- With at least 6 years regular service in the grade pay of Rs. 4800/- (Pay level 8 as per 7th CPC) in the relevant field, Or
- With at least 7 years regular service in the grade pay of Rs. 4600/- (Pay level 7 as per 7th CPC) in the relevant field.
