Eligibility Essential : Officer under the Central Government :-

(a) (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis: or (ii) with five years service in the post in Level 6 (Rs. 35.400 – 1.12.400) of Pay Matrix or equivalent: and

(b) Possessing the educational qualifications and experience as under:-

• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized University or Institute.
• Two years’ professional experience in a Library under Central or State Government or Autonomous or Statutory Organization or Public Sector Undertaking or University or Recognized Research or Educational Institute.

Desirable:- (i) Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of recognized University or Training Institute.

(ii) Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institute.

• Economics as one of the subject as Degree level.

Note-: Deputation conditions will be governed by DoPT guidelines.
