Eligibility Criteria:

Officers  from       Central    or   State    Government/       Universities/    R&D

Organizations.(i)holding analogous post on regular basis in Level-11 in

the Pay    Matrix   or(ii) Assistant Library and Information Officer with

seven years regular service in Level-7 in the Pay Matrix.Essential(i)Bachelors Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from Government recognized University/ Institute; (ii) 7 years professional experience in Management of Libraries and office procedure, Data processing and Communication skills and

Information         Service   in            a Library     under      Central/          State   Govt/
University.Desirable:(i)Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and

Information Science from Government recognized University/ Institute;

(ii)One year experience of computerizing Library activities in a Library

under Central/ State Government/ University or recognized Research or education   Institution.(iii)    Diploma   in     Computer       Applications       from   a

recognized University or        Institute.Note:     The Departmental Officers in
the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation.
