| Position: University Librarian (on deputation basis) | |
| Method of Appointment: By deputation of eligible persons recruited as per UGC norms from Government of Kerala Service/Organizations controlled, governed, sponsored or established by the Government of Kerala/ Statutory Universities established in Kerala by an Act of the Kerala State Legislature. | |
| Manner of Selection: Applicants will be interviewed by the University for being appointed on deputation. | |
| Term of Appointment: The term of appointment shall be initially for a period of one year from the date of joining duty, which may be extended for a further term based on performance evaluation. | |
| Pay and Allowances: As per the Last Pay Certificate submitted by the parent Department/Organization/University. | |
| Qualifications: | |
| i) A Ph.D. Degree in library science/information science/documentation/archives and manuscript keeping. | |
| ii) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed. | |
| iii) At least ten years of experience in the posts of Deputy/Assistant Librarian (as per feeder post) in a University Library or ten years of teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science or ten years of experience as a College Librarian. | |
| iv) Experience in innovative library services, incorporating Information technology in Libraries. | |
