Job Opportunity: Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)

Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC), Delhi, a Premier Research Laboratory of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), is inviting applications from young and meritorious Indian Nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the following discipline:

Stipend: JRF will receive a stipend of Rs.37,000/- p.m (Plus HRA as per DRDO Rules).

JRF Tenure: Initially the offer is for a period of two years which may be extendable for further two years subject to Internal Screening Committee recommendation.

Age Limit: The upper age limit is maximum 28 years as on the date of interview.

Procedure of Attending Interview

The eligible/qualified candidates can WALK IN FOR INTERVIEW AT THE VENUE, ON THE DATE AND TIME AS MENTIONED BELOW.

While appearing for the interview, candidates are required to submit complete Bio-Data with a recent passport size photo affixed on the top right corner of the first page. Candidates should bring original certificates (for verification) and one set copies of all Degree/Academic qualification certificates/mark sheet/Experience Certificate etc. Candidates working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies should produce an NOC issued by present employer.

Mode of selection: Walk-in-interview at Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC), Metcalfe House, Civil Lines, Delhi – 110 054

Date & Time of Interview: 18th April 2024 at 0900hrs.

Important Instructions

  • Applications would be accepted up to 0930hrs on the date of the interview.
  • Exam will be conducted depending on the no. of candidates appeared followed by an interview.
  • Initial screening and verification of testimonials would be done between 1000-1100hrs on the interview date.
  • Interview of the shortlisted candidates would take place from 1100hrs onward.
  • Only those candidates who have been awarded Degree/Provisional Certificate are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates should make their own arrangement for their stay and transport in Delhi.
  • It may please be noted that the offer of Fellowship will under no circumstances confer on candidates any right of absorption in DRDO.
  • Award of Fellowship shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. It shall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the Lab, which may refuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reason thereof.
  • The candidate may be allowed to register for part-time Ph.D with any University/Institution during the tenure of the fellowship.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining if selected.
  • Number of vacancies may increase or decrease without prior notice.
