Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade).
- A consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of a Library.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or possess a Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations.
Ph.D. Candidates:
The following conditions apply for Ph.D. candidates:
- The Ph.D. degree must have been awarded in the regular mode.
- The thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- An open Ph.D. viva voce has been conducted.
- At least two research papers from the Ph.D. work must be published, with one in a referred journal.
- Two papers based on the Ph.D. work must have been presented in relevant conferences/seminars.
Note:
- All candidates must appear for a written examination.
- The final selection will be based on performance in the interview.
