| Essential Qualification | Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. |
| Ph.D. | Ph.D. in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives & Manuscript-Keeping. |
| Experience | At least 5 years as Librarian at any level in a University/College Library, or 5 years teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science, or 5 years experience as College/Institution Librarian. |
| Other Essential Requirement | Evidence of innovative library services, including integration of ICT in the library. |
| Desirable Skills | Digital Library, Institutional Repository, DSpace / Greenstone / EPrints, Koha / SOUL, RFID, MARC21, Dublin Core, Digitisation, E-resources, INFLIBNET, NDLI, ONOS, OER, SWAYAM, AI-enabled discovery, Research Data Management, Bibliometrics and Malayalam digital content. |

| Selection Process | Shortlisting followed by a presentation on a vision plan for establishing a hybrid digital library at SGOU and Interview. |
