About the Seminar

The RUSA PMU 2.0 Sponsored International Seminar on “Academic Libraries in the AI Era: Problems & Prospects”, organized by the Department of Library and Information Science, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, will be held on 17th–18th August 2026.

The seminar aims to provide an international platform for academics, librarians, researchers, information professionals, and policymakers to discuss the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academic libraries. It seeks to explore emerging opportunities, address key challenges, and promote the exchange of innovative ideas, research findings, and best practices for developing smart, inclusive, and sustainable academic library services in the AI era.
