Essential Qualifications	Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognized University. Must have cleared NET conducted by UGC / CSIR / SLET / SET or possess a Ph.D. Degree as per UGC Regulations 2009 / 2016 (as amended). Ph.D. Degree must have been awarded in regular mode. Ph.D. thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners. Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted. At least two research papers published from Ph.D. work, with minimum one in a refereed journal. Presentation of at least two papers in UGC / ICSSR / CSIR sponsored conferences or seminars. CCC qualification (as per Ordinance 2.9). Adequate knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi and English.
