Qualifications, Desirable & Job Specification
| TA-05 — Technical Assistant (KRC) |
Essential Qualification: • B.Sc. or equivalent with minimum 60% marks and one-year experience in Library / Knowledge Resource Centres from a recognized Institute/Organization OR • B.Sc. or equivalent with 60% + one-year M.Lib.Sc. OR Post-Graduate Diploma in Library Automation & Networking. Desirable / Experience: • Full-time professional qualification in Library Science OR B.Sc. (60%) + B.Lib.Sc. • Experience with KOHA software, circulation management, handling journals, data entry of books/journals, maintenance of digital repository (DSpace). Job specification (summary): To be deployed in the Knowledge Resource Centre — assist in subscription of journals; data entry/cataloguing of books & journals in KOHA; maintain circulation activities; support maintenance of digital knowledge repository using DSpace; perform related KRC tasks. |

Essential Qualification: • SSC / 10th Standard (Science subjects) with minimum 55% marks AND ITI certificate or National/State trade certificate in Library & Information Science OR • SSC /10th (Science, 55%) with 2 years’ full-time experience as apprentice/trainee in recognized library institution OR • SSC /10th (Science, 55%) with Graduate degree or Diploma in Library & Information Science and 3 years of work experience in Library management in Govt./PSU/Autonomous body / recognized institution. Desirable / Experience: • Practical experience in library management, assistance to KRC operations, visitor handling, basic digitization support. Job specification (summary): Assist in management of institute library resources, support circulation services, assist in digitization and routine technical tasks in KRC. |
