Engagement of Retired Government Servants as Consultants
Post Assistant Library and Information Officer (Consultant)
No. of Consultants 05 (Five)
Location of Posting Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, and Lucknow Benches of the Tribunal
Eligibility (a) Retired Officers under Central/State Government or High Courts and Subordinate Courts:
i. Holding analogous posts;
OR
ii. At least 5 years’ regular service in Pay Band-2 (₹9300–34800) with Grade Pay ₹4200.

(b) Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science / Library & Information Science from a recognized University or Institute.
• Two years’ professional experience in a Library under Central/State Government, statutory/autonomous body, PSU, University, or recognized Research/Educational Institution.

Desirable:
• Master’s Degree in Library Science / Library & Information Science.
• Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institute.
Pay Level Level 07 as per 7th CPC
Period of Engagement Initially for 1 year (extendable or curtailed based on administrative requirements)
