- Degree in Library Science from a recognized university
- Diploma in Computer Application recognized by AICTE/DOEACC or Library Automation Course by NISCAIR
- Knowledge of computer operation in library work including use of library automation software and online/offline databases

- Written Test: 100 Marks (General English, GK, Aptitude – 30 marks; Library Management – 70 marks)
Duration: 3 hours
Qualifying Marks: 50 (UR), 45 (SC/ST)
- Computer Test: 100 Marks
Duration: 1 hour
Qualifying Marks: 50 (UR), 45 (SC/ST)
- Interview: 25 Marks
Qualifying Marks: 13 (UR), 12 (SC/ST)
