The National Digital Library of India (NDLI), IIT Kharagpur, is pleased to announce that the 4th International Symposium on Knowledge Engineering for Digital Library Design (KEDLD-2025) will be held from 3rd to 5th November 2025 at IIT Kharagpur. It is jointly organized by the NDLI and Central Library, IIT Kharagpur. Past editions have made notable contributions to research and dialogue in digital library development.
Objectives of the Symposium
- Emphasize the strategic value of digital libraries, especially NDLI.
- Promote metadata engineering for inclusive resource access.
- Discuss technical, administrative, and policy aspects.
- Foster global collaborations among DL professionals.
- Encourage AI/ML innovations in digital library services.
- Promote open, smart, and interoperable technologies.
- Exchange best practices and case studies.
- Identify challenges and practical solutions.
Call for Papers
NDLI invites submissions for the symposium “Knowledge Engineering in Digital Library Design”. Papers should focus on how knowledge engineering advances digital libraries and education for sustainable development.
