Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Learning Centre (LC).
- Engage with faculty, researchers, students, and staff for LC-related services.
- Streamline systems, processes, and implement automation.
- Handle agreements with vendors and invoice processing for electronic resources.
- Lead and motivate a team of library professionals.
- Coordinate and ensure timely publication of the Institute’s Annual Report.
- Manage administrative and budgetary operations of the LC.
- Oversee Indian and international language sections in the LC.
- Organize electronic resources and assist with teaching/research material access.
- Liaise with faculty, external organizations, and suppliers.
- Ensure timely physical verification of LC assets.
- Other tasks as assigned by the competent authority.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Library and Information/Documentation Science with at least 50% marks.
- Ph.D. in the relevant field is desirable.
- At least 13 years as Deputy Librarian in a University Library or 18 years as College Librarian or equivalent.
- Evidence of innovative services and publication organization.
- Preferable: Experience in ICT integration in libraries.
- Last drawn salary at Pay Level 12 (7th CPC) or equivalent.
- Leadership in an advanced, computerized library of international standards.
- ICT implementation, ERP integration, library budget administration, and cataloging standards.
- Experience in knowledge management and digital library systems.
- ERP-integrated systems, metadata standards, repository management, and LMS modules.
- Publications in reputed/peer-reviewed journals.
- Membership in organizations like ALA, SLA, ILA, SIS, MANLIBNET, etc.
Salary & Allowances | Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualification. No constraint for deserving candidates. |
