Position Library & Information Associate (Contract Basis)
Number of Vacancies 01
Qualification Full-time Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or equivalent professional degree with at least 60% marks and a consistently good academic record. Knowledge of library computerization is required.
Experience 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in IIMs/IITs/NITs (desirable but not mandatory).
Skills Required
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Knowledge of procurement of learning resources.
  • Basic knowledge of IT applications used in libraries.
  • Familiarity with DDC, MARC format, KOHA, DSPACE, and library management software.
  • Understanding of business information sources and electronic databases.
  • Knowledge of copyrights and intellectual property rights.
Job Profile
  • Work on shift duties.
  • Assist in the procurement of course materials (books, articles, cases, simulations).
  • Perform library outreach activities.
  • Answer user reference queries and compile usage statistics.
  • Create course packs and send single-click links to the Programme Office.
  • Assist in invoice processing and maintain usage statistics.
  • Coordinate with the programme office and academic departments.
  • Conduct guided tours of the Indian Business Museum (IBM) and maintain IBM tour records.
  • Create content for Libguide and attend to other tasks assigned by the Librarian.
Maximum Age Limit 30 years (with relaxations as per Govt of India guidelines)
Monthly Remuneration Rs. 24,300/- (including Rs. 300/- for telephone allowance)
