(i) Second Class Honours or Master’s degree of a recognized University (ii) Degree/Diploma in Librarianship of a recognized University/Institution (iii) 3 years’ experience in Library work in a Public/Institutional Library of repute |

Not more than 36 years as on 01.01.2026 (Relaxable for otherwise well-qualified & experienced candidates and for persons holding substantive appointment under Government) |
| Language Requirement |
Ability to read, write & speak Bengali is essential (tested at interview). Not mandatory for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali, unless specifically mentioned. |
