Essential Qualifications
a) A Master‘s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation
Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point -scale wherever
the grading system is followed.
b) At least ten years as a Librarian at any level in University Library or ten years of
teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science or ten years‘
experience as a College Librarian.
c) Evidence of innovative library services, including the integration of ICT in a
library.
d) A Ph.D. Degree in library science/information science/documentation /archives
and manuscript-keeping.
e) Research score of as per the criteria given in Table at Appendix, shall be used
for short-listing of the candidates.
How to apply
Online applications will be summarily rejected if the hard copy of it is not received with
all the supporting documents evidencing the entries in the application. The candidate
has to take a print-out of the filled-in application and enclose all the self-attested
supporting documents and send through registered post/speed post/courier to the
following address on or before 27.11.2023 by 05:00 PM IST after appending the
applicant’s signature. Applications without the signature of the candidate and
incomplete forms ‘will not be considered’.
The candidate has to write the “Post Applied for Librarian and the
“Department Name ___________” on the top of the envelope
