Prescribed Minimum Qualification / Experience

Essential	Master’s Degree in Library Science / Library & Information Science / Library Documentation with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (UGC scale) obtained through a regular course and consistently good academic record as per UGC Regulations. At least 10 years as a Librarian at any level in a University library OR 10 years teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science OR ten years’ experience as a College Librarian. Evidence of innovative library service, published work/professional commitment and experience in computerization of library systems.
Desirable	Ph.D. in Library Science / Library & Information Science / Library Documentation / Archiving and Manuscript Keeping / Computerization of Library. Experience in a reputed research/academic institute library at higher academic/pay levels (Level-10 and above), with minimum 3 years’ experience at Level-11 or equivalent.
