Assistant Librarian, Professional Assistant and Library Attendant at BBAU, Lucknow

1. A Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
2. A consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
3. Qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET OR who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the “UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree), Regulations 2009 or 2016 and their amendments”.

Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to 11 July 2009 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET provided ALL of the following conditions are certified by Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs) of the awarding university:

1. The Ph.D. degree was awarded in regular mode.
2. The Ph.D. thesis was evaluated by at least two external examiners.
3. An open Ph.D. viva voce was conducted.
4. At least two research papers based on the Ph.D. work have been published, of which at least one is in a refereed journal.
5. The candidate presented at least two papers based on Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.

(The fulfilment of these conditions must be certified by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs) of the university concerned.)

One of the following:

• Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science from a recognized University/Institution with one year experience in the relevant field in a University/Research establishment/Central/State Govt./PSU/Library of other autonomous institutions; OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Library / Library & Information Science from a recognized Institute/University with three years experience in the relevant field in a University/Research establishment/Central/State Govt./PSU/Library of other autonomous institutions.

Other: Knowledge of computer applications is required.

• 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
• Certificate course in Library Science from a recognized institution.
• One-year experience in a University/College/Educational Institution Library.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

• Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science from any recognised University/Institution with one year experience in the relevant field in a University/Research establishment/Central/State Govt./PSU/Library of other autonomous institutions; OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Library / Library & Information Science from any recognised Institute/University with three years experience in the relevant field in a University/Research establishment/Central/State Govt./PSU/Library of other autonomous institutions.
• Knowledge of Computer Applications.

• 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
• Certificate course in Library Science from a recognized institution.
• One year experience in a University/College/Educational Institution Library.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
