North East Regional Institute of Education Umiam invites applications in prescribed proforma for one post of Assistant Librarian (full time) purely on Contractual basis with consolidated remuneration of Rs.45000/- PM. The last date of submission of the application is 19/8/2019.

Essential Qualifications: –

1. A Master Degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation Science and equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerisation of library.
2. Beside fulfilling the above qualification, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET)/ SLET in the relevant subject as per UGC guidelines.

Desirable:

1. Studied Hindi as a subject upto X standard.
2. Knowledge of drafting and noting in Hindi language.
