    Essential Qualifications
    1. Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks.
    2. Consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of a library.
    3. Must have cleared UGC NET/CSIR NET/SLET/SET or hold a Ph.D. degree per UGC 2009/2016 regulations.
      Note: Candidates with Ph.D. registered before July 11, 2009, are exempted from NET/SLET/SET if they meet additional conditions:
      • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode
      • Thesis evaluated by two external examiners
      • Open viva voce conducted
      • Two research papers published (at least one in a refereed journal)
      • Two presentations in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR-funded seminars
    Desirable Qualification Experience in the relevant field
