ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian Nationals for the Post of Manager / Officer – Academic Library for the Academic Library at ICRISAT under Strategic Marketing and Communication. The position is based at ICRISAT Patancheru, Telangana.
Qualifications and competencies
- Masters in Library and Information sciences with at least 5 years of work experience especially in a research institute
- Experience in managing and describing archival collections
- Understanding of any Database Management system
- Knowledge of and experience curating knowledge products
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office suites
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Result-oriented mindset, proactive responsiveness, ability to work under pressure and remotely
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Affiliations with relevant professional organizations in librarianship.
General:
The selected candidate will be placed in the Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) cadre as Officer – Academic Library or in the Scientific and Managerial Group (SMG) cadre as Manager – Academic Library. The position is initially for a period of three years, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institute’s continuing need for the position.
