Educational & Other Qualifications :

Essential :

• 1.   Post-Graduation Degree in Library Science from a recognised University.
• 2.   Ten years experience with at least 5 years in a Senior capacity in a library of repute.
• 3.   Working knowledge of 2 or more Indian languages.
• 4.   Proven ability to maintain and run a Library.
• 5.   Good knowledge of computer application in Libraries.

Desirable :

• i)    Doctoral Degree in Library Science.
• ii)   General Knowledge of Indian Literature and good contact with literary community.
• iii)  Experience in Library Research,

The incumbent selected is liable to be transferred to any of the offices of the Sahitya Akademi located in India.
