Essential minimum qualification & Experience
- Graduate + First Class Master's Degree in Library Science/ Library & Information or Equivalent from recognized University/Institution.

Selection Process:
The qualification prescribed and the benchmark are only the MINIMUM requirement and fulfilling the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for Written Test.
The selection methodology for recruitment involves
- Written Test and
- Skill Test.
Candidates whose applications are received against this advertisement will be short-listed based on the defined screening guidelines. Based on the academic performance and bio-data, the screening will be conducted and a higher cut-off percentage may be adopted to short-list candidates for taking-up Written Test. Those screened-in candidates alone will be called for Written Test.
The Written Test shall be conducted first. The Written Test will be conducted at Dehradun, however, the exact date shall be announced later through our website www.iirs.gov.in. However, the Organisation reserves the right to cancel/change the written test date/ venue and re-allot the candidates to any other test centre. The call letters for written test to the short-listed
candidates will be sent only by e-mail at least 3-4 weeks in advance before the test date. Shortlisted candidates for written test will also be able to download their call letters from our portal/website.
How to apply
Applications will be received on-line only. Interested candidates may visit the website http://www.iirs.gov.in for detailed information and guidelines. The candidates may apply online on the above website from 1000 Hours on 17/11/2020 to 1000 Hours on 07/12/2020. The applicant has to provide (mandatory) E-mail ID for future correspondence/reference.[ Hall tickets/ Call letter for written test/skill test for those who will be screened in will be sent through email only and no hard copy will be sent] The candidates who are already employed under Central/ State Govt./PSU/ Autonomous Bodies etc. have to send a 'No Objection Certificate"; from the present employer concerned, duly indicating their Registration Number and Post code to the Administrative Officer (General Administration), Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, 4 Kalidas Road, Dehradun-248001, within 7 days of filling the application online by the candidate and in any case not later than 14/12/2020.
