Post Assistant Librarian (Contractual)
Qualification
  • Master's degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
  • Qualification in NET/SET examination in the relevant subject. However, candidates with a Ph.D. as per the corresponding UGC Regulations, 2009, are exempted from NET/SET qualification.
Remuneration Consolidated remuneration of Rs. 20,000/- per month or as may be determined by the Governing Board/Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal.
Engagement Duration Initial engagement would be for 6 (six) months. Any further extension will be subject to the decision of the University authority.
Responsibilities The incumbent will take care of the overall functions of the library and any other matter assigned from time to time by the University.
