SIKKIM UNIVERSITY invites applications from Indian citizens for the following posts on a contract/temporary basis for its project on SIKKIM’S ENDANGERED LANGUAGE DOCUMENTATION PROJECT (SELDP) funded by the NORTHEASTERN COUNCIL (NEC). The duration of the posts is for 12 months, to be renewed every 12 months on the basis of performance. The posts are co-terminus with the project and the University shall have no liability towards the incumbents in the event of the NEC closing down the project at any time.

Essential:
Good academic record with at least 45% marks of equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Bachelor’s degree level in Library Science or Commerce from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Able to run accounts, office management, and document processing tools and programs. Able to compile and draft reports.
Desirable:
Able to conduct linguistic and/or audio-video data collection through fieldwork with communities in Sikkim.

Registration for walk-in interview/interaction and/or video conference will be conducted at 10 am, 30 September 2020 at the Centre for Endangered Languages, Rita Thapa Building, Near Orange Village Resort, 7th Mile, Sikkim University. Any changes regarding the interview and walk-in interaction schedule will be informed in the website.
Application fee of Rs. 500/- will have to be paid either as a demand draft in favor of Sikkim University.
