the library's mission to meet the evolving needs of students, faculty, and
staff. This position requires a dynamic individual with a profound
understanding of emerging technologies and a passion for leveraging these
enhance library services. The Assistant Librarian will closely work with
the Head librarian to ensure a continuous process of review, assessment,
and improvement of library programs, resources, and services to meet the
requirements of new-age student needs while working towards an effective
integration of technology in library operations, that promotes and enhances
a seamless and innovative user experience.
*Qualifications & Experience*
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science or
Documentation Science, from a regular / full time program with at least 55%
marks (or an equivalent grade) and a consistently good academic record.
NET / SET certification, PGDLAN or diploma/ certification in computers or
PhD will be an added advantage.
Hands on experience / expertise in Library automation, Digital libraries,
ERM, Content management, Portal development, Networking, Remote access,
Archives, Data management & Metrics is preferred.
4 to 8 years of professional experience in academic libraries, including
2-3 years at supervisory level.
Library Services (Physical, Digital & Remote) Management.
User Engagement & collaboration.
Electronic Resources Management
Tools & Technology adoption /integration
Resource Procurement & optimization.
Metrics & Data Management:
Housekeeping & floor management
