Those candidates who have been shortlisted for the written examination for the post of Assistant Librarian are being requested to appear for the Written Test, and if qualified in Written Test, for the Interview at this Institute as per the schedule given below: | ||

The minimum qualifying marks for written test will in general be 60% (There is no post advertised for Reserved Categories). Written Test will be used as a qualifying exam only, and there will not be any weightage of the same in the Interview. The top ten candidates of the written test will be called for Step II (Interview) of the selection process, subject to fulfilment of the other required conditions of the eligibility including minimum 60% score in written test. However, actual selection shall depend on the merit over and above this minimum level as determined by the respective Selection Committee(s). No queries regarding the outcome of the selection process will be entertained and only selected candidate will be informed once all processes are completed. Guidelines for the exam for the post of Assistant Librarian are enclosed. Please read the guidelines carefully.
Instructions to the Candidates

- Result of the written examination will be placed on the website of Central Library, IIT Delhi at https://library.iitd.ac.in. The physical copy of the result will also be placed on the Notice Board of Central Library on 26th June 2024 any time after 4 PM.
- Please note that in case of non-production of any of the above documents, your candidature may be cancelled.
- Following documents will be required on the day of Written Test (STEP-I) i.e. 26th June 2024:
- A “No Objection Certificate” from your employer, in case you are presently employed in Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous Bodies and your application has not been forwarded through the proper channel.
- Admit Card.
- Proof of Identity Card: Aadhar Card.
- One recent passport size Photograph.
- On the date of Interview (STEP-II) i.e. 27th June 2024 all originals as stated below will be required for verification:
- Original Certificate indicating your date of birth.
- Original certificates/degrees/diplomas/mark sheets, etc., in support of educational qualifications and experience that you have stated in your application, along with one set of photocopies of all the documents.
- A “No Objection Certificate” from your employer, in case you are presently employed in Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous Bodies and your application has not been forwarded through the proper channel.
- A Certificate of present/last salary drawn from the employer giving details about post held, scale of pay, basic pay, other allowances etc. and date of next increment.
