PROGRAMME ON CAPACITY BUILDING IN PUBLIC LIBRARIES

Auro University, Surat in collaboration with Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation, under National Mission on Libraries, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, is organizing “Capacity Building Programme for Public Libraries” from 25 June to 29 June 2018 on its campus. The objective of the program is to impart the necessary professional skills to librarians to handle the diverse need of users of the Public libraries in the digital age.

The program will benefit the library personnel of South Gujarat region. Around 60 participants are expected to benefit from the program. The thrust areas of programs include:

 Emerging trends in Public libraries

 Use of Social media

 Metadata basics

 ICT skills & Koha open source library software

 Library services for specially-abled users
