About the Global Library

The Global Library of O P Jindal Global University < https://jgu.edu.in/> caters to the information needs of more than 1,000 faculty members, 10,000 students, and about 300 research scholars. The library’s mission is to support the students and scholars at JGU achieve their educational and research objectives by providing access to a wide range of information sources and by organizing custom programs and services that will assist them in using the sources effectively.  The library team is committed to create a responsive and welcoming environment in both physical and virtual spaces. Through collaboration and partnerships, we strive to be a hub of activities and a catalyst for knowledge exchange and intellectual growth on campus and beyond.  

 

Global Library Training Programme  
The Global Library is offering a two-year training program for enthusiastic library and information science graduates. The program provides hands-on experience in information services in a university setting, and participants will be involved in various activities and projects across the functional units of the library.  

The selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 30,000/- per month and get medical and accidental insurance coverage according to the University policy.  In addition, the candidates will get free accommodation (shared) in the vicinity of the University campus.

Upon successful completion, skilled and top-performing candidates may be offered a full-time position at the Global Library.  This is subject to the library's needs.  

Qualification:
A Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from a reputable university or Institute with a minimum of 50% marks is required.
The maximum age limit for all applicants is 25 years.
