Scholarship

Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So the University offers India’s largest Private Scholarship Scheme .The objective of the scheme is to realize the vast talents that may be hidden due to financial constraints. (Under this scheme in last five years LPU has awarded scholarships to more than 30,000 students worth 300+ crores.) 

On The Basis of Performance in LPUNEST – 2016

‘Top 35% applicants’ appearing for LPUNEST (subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2016), will be eligible for Scholarship upto 50,000 per annum. Scholarship details are as per the following table :

Note: Applicant seeking test (LPUNEST-2016) exemption on basis of, UGC (NET/JRF)/CSIR(NET /JRF)/ICAR(JRF/SRF) Examination/SLET (Punjab state only) /GATE/GPAT/ICAR or hold Teacher Fellowship will have to appear for test [LPUNEST-2016 (Spring Term)] in order to avail the scholarship as mentioned above.

Other fees

• Term Evaluation charges / Thesis evaluation Charges separate as per actuals.
• Lab / experimentation separate as per actuals.
• Examination fees separate as per actuals.

Difference between Part Time & Full Time

• Duration: 
  
  
  • For Full time – Minimum duration is 3 years and maximum is 5 years from date of Admissions.
  • For Part Time - As per UGC Guidelines
• Attending University: 
  
  
  • Full time students should punch their attendance and have their seating in Division of Research and Development. They should interact with their guide regularly and mainly utilize the labs and resources of university. They should not engage themselves in any full time job.
  • However Part Time students can visit the university whenever required and generally make use of resources / labs at their working place. This is the major reason that a certificate from employer is required at the time of admissions into Part Time Ph.D.

  • Full time students may attend their courses during weekdays only along with or separately with other regular programmes being offered in University.
