Education and Experience:

  • Required full-time MLISc with 60 % from any UGC recognised University
  • Qualified in UGC/NET or State level examination
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience in Acquisition / Technical and Circulation Section in an Academic Library
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Knowledge of trends & issues Acquisition and Technical Services
  • Workflow in Automated Acquisition / Cataloguing and Circulation system

 Desirable Qualification

  • Experience in Acquisition / Technical and Circulation Section
  • Knowledge in Virtua Software or any other International software
  • Knowledge of bibliographic utility tools, Personal Reference Manager and HTML
  • Business Research Skills and ability to conduct orientation sessions

 Education and Experience:

  • Required full-time MLISc with minimum 60 % from any UGC recognised University
  • Qualified in UGC/NET or Equivalent State level examination
  • At least three years of experience in acquisition/e-resources in any Academic Library
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Knowledge of trends & issues in Electronic Resources
  • Workflow in automated Serial control system and knowledge of MARC 21 for serials

 Desirable Qualification

  • Experience in e-resource management system
  • Harvesting COUNTER statistics
  • Proxy configuration for remote access
  • Knowledge in Virtua Software or any other International software
  • Business Research Skills and ability to conduct orientation sessions

 

Position: – Senior Professional Assistant-Library

 Education and Experience:

  • Required full time MLISc with 60 % from any UGC recognised University
  • At least two years of experience in any Academic Library
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Knowledge of MARC 21,& Dublin core and bibliographic utility tools and HTML

 Desirable Qualification

  • Experience in either Acquisition / Technical Section or electronic resources and Periodical Subscriptions Section
  • Knowledge in Virtua Software or any other International software
  • Knowledge of bibliographic utility tools, Personal Reference Manager and HTML
  • Business Research Skills and ability to conduct orientation sessions

 

Position: -Project Executive-Library

 Education and Experience:

  • Required full time MLISc with 60 % from any UGC recognised University
  • At least one year of Internship in any large Academic / Research Library

 Desirable Qualification

  • Knowledge of cataloguing and classification of library resources using MARC 21, DDC and Library of Congress Subject Headings
  • Intermediate Proficiency in MS Excel such as sorts, filters, text and database functions and condition formatting.
  • Basic HTML
  • Mail Merge in MS-word.

 

The all position offered is on contract for 2 year and is renewable subsequently. Compensation will based on Institute norms and the applicant’s qualification and experience.
