Job Description

The incumbent will be overall in-charge for maintenance, management and supervision of the Library of Sangeet Natak Akedmi . He / She will be responsible for conducting library committee meetings for purchase of books, their referencing, accounting, classification, liaison with other libraries for procurement of book on loan needed, issues of Membership Card, conducting of physical verification of

books/periodicals,reorganisation and modernisation of Library. He / She will also look after matters pertaining to scrutiny/passing of bills towards purchase of books and periodicals, overall supervision of works by the library staff, issue of library attendance certificate to research officers. etc.

Eligibility
conditions

Deputation:

Officer under the Central Government or State Government or /R&D Organizations/ Autonomous organizations:

(a) (i) holding analogous post in the present cadre; or

(ii) With 5 years regular service in the post in the

Level 9 (Re 53100-167800); or

(iii)    With 8 years regular service in the post in the Level 8 (R.547600-151100) in the Matrix or

equivalent; and

(b)        possessing the following educational qualifications and

experience:

Essential

a) Master's degree in Library Science from a recognized University.

b) Minimum 5 years experience as a          Librarian in
a Library of standing in the pay scale of PR-3 'Rs15600-39100+ Rs.5400 Grade Pay (Pay level 10 of pay matrix, i.e., Rs.56100-177500, as per 7th' CPC)
