Mode of Recruitment	By deputation or appointment on tenure basis for a period of five years or till attaining the age of superannuation i.e., 62 years, whichever is earlier.
Pay Scale	Academic Pay Level-14 (Rs. 1,44,200 - 2,18,200) as per 7th CPC pay matrix.
Essential Qualification & Experience	Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade. At least 10 years as a Librarian at any level in University Library or 10 years of teaching as Assistant/ Associate Professor in Library Science or 10 years' experience as a College Librarian. Evidence of innovative Library services, including integration of ICT in a library. A Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation/ Archives and Manuscript keeping.
