Academic Qualification:

Masters degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science from a recognized university/institute (regular course) with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade and a consistent good academic record; one year post graduate degree/ diploma in Computer Applications such as PGDCA/PGDLAN from a university or equivalent institute. Ph.D. in Library/Information Science is highly desirable.

Experience:

8 years of working experience in a position of Deputy Librarian (or equivalent) at a pay scale of Rs. 15,600 - 39,100/- (PB-3) with grade pay Rs. 7,600/- (or equivalent) in a large academic /scientific/ research library. The candidate must have extensive experience of working of procurement/ subscription of, access to and service provision with electronic resources.
