Essential Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Proficiency in Tamil (reading, speaking)
• Knowledge of Koha software and MARC21 format
• Ability to adapt to new and evolving technologies and services
• Initiative-taking and open to change
• Service-oriented and attuned to users' needs

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of Devaganari (Sanskrit) script (highly desirable)
• Diploma in French
• One year of experience in any library, particularly a research library
• Knowledge of preventive conservation, especially of books and paper
• Familiarity with reference management tools such as Zotero
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
