आयोग द्वारा कॉलेज शिक्षा विभाग के लिए राजस्थान पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष (महाविद्यालय शाखा) नियम, 2023 के अन्तर्गत पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष के 247 पदों पर भर्ती हेतु ऑनलाइन आवेदन आमंत्रित किए जाते है। पद स्थाई है तथा विभाग से प्राप्त कुल रिक्त पदों की संख्या (पदों की संख्या में कमी / वृद्धि की जा सकती है

शैक्षिक योग्यता

(i)  A Master's Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed)

  • A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of a library.
  • Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be:

Provided that the, candidates registered for the Ph.D. degree prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree, and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-

  • The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in the regular mode;
  • The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
  • Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
  • The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;
  • The candidates has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.

Note:

(i) The fulfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.

(ii) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for candidates in such Master's Programmes for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC,. CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

Definition of Good Academic Record for the post of Librarian According to Letter date 17-07-2023 of College Education Department :

"Good academic record' means an average of at least 55% marks in-3 examinations preceding to Master's degree with at least 50% marks in graduation and any one of the Secondary/High School, Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent grades in the point scale wherever grading system is followed without including any grace marks and/or rounding off to make it 55% or 50% as the case may be."

 

Scheme of Examination

The scheme of competitive examination shall consist of-

(ii) Interview

B. Interview.

  • The interview shall carry 20 marks.
  • To the extent of three times of total number of vacancies (category wise), the candidates who obtain such minimum qualifying marks in written examination as may be fixed by the Commission, shall be summoned for interview.

C. Syllabus:

The syllabus shall be such as specified by the Commission, from time to time and will be intimated to the candidates within the stipulated time in the manner as the Commission deems fit.
