Pay Scale	PB-3 (₹15,600–39,100) with GP ₹5400 After 5 years: Eligible for GP ₹6600 (based on DPC assessment) Note: AGP ₹6000 appointments continue until 5 years; then move to ₹6600
Age Limit	Not exceeding 35 years Relaxable for departmental candidates by up to 5 years
Essential Qualifications	● Master’s Degree in Library/Information/Documentation Science with 60% marks or equivalent ● UGC NET/SLET/SET qualification or equivalent approved national test ● Strong knowledge of computerized library services
Desirable Qualifications	● PG Diploma in Library Automation & Networking / PGDCA or equivalent ● Higher degree such as Ph.D. in relevant discipline preferred
