State Governor's Secretariat, Jharkhand, Ranchi invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Librarian on a contract basis under the Governor Secretariat. 2. Eligibility Criteria and Terms of Service

i) This position is to be filled on a contract basis either by direct recruitment or by a retired employee on contract basis.

ii) Educational Qualification and Experience for Assistant Librarian:

Essential Qualification Bachelor in Library and Information Science (BLIS) from a recognized institution. Higher qualifications are preferred.
Essential Experience Minimum 02 years of working experience in a library of Central Government/State Government/PSU. Candidates with more experience will be preferred.
For Retired Candidates Bachelor in Library and Information Science (BLIS) from a recognized institution. Knowledge of Computer Applications. Must be retired from the post of Librarian/Assistant Librarian or equivalent from Central Government/State Government/PSU.
3. Age Limit
Cut-off Date for Age Calculation 16.12.2024
Maximum Age Limit for Direct Recruitment 50 years
Maximum Age Limit for Retired Candidates 62 years
