Advertisement for the Post of Documentalist


Applications are invited for the post of Documentalist, on contractual basis, on a consolidated salary of Rs.37,530/ per month, for a period of one year in Population Research Centre, IEG Delhi. If the performance of the employee so appointed is found to be satisfactory, the same employee may be engaged on fresh contract for another two terms by way of obtaining further approval of the Ministry.

Essential and other Qualifications required for Direct Recruitment



  1. Masters in any discipline from a recognized University and B.Lib.Sc/B.LI.Sc with minimum 50% marks Or M.Lbi.Sc/M.LI.Sc. With minimum 50% marks from a recognized university.
  2. 6 months course in Computer Applications/Computer Course at Graduate or Masters Level.                                   


Social Sciences background, knowledge of computerization Library software, digitalization, E-resources, E-databases, work experience etc.


The candidates who are already working in any organization must send their application through proper channel. The Institute reserves the right not to fill up the position if the circumstances so warrant. Other things being equal, SC/ST/OBC candidates will be preferred.
